Wests Tigers Physical Disabled Rugby League Squad 2017

For the first time ever Wests Tigers a team in the NSW Physical Disability Rugby League competition, bringing together a group of players with a diverse range of experience in the game.

Captain George Tonna has put together some great profiles for his squad who will take to the field in the Wests Tigers jersey.

Please note that in the below profiles ‘Red Shorts’ refers to a non-contact player, while ‘Black Shorts’ is a full contact player.

Wests Tigers will play their first ever competition game against last years’ Premiers the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Sunday the 12 March 2017 at 10.30am at Cabramatta Stadium. 


Harry Stoker-Red Shorts-Junior

A new member of the association, wants to play in the game for the mighty Wests Tigers, from Ingleburn, watch this kid go!

Marco Quintao-Red Shorts-Adult

A Wests Tiger supporter through and through, fulfills one of his long-life dreams in playing for the Club. Has played 29 games for the Association and is the fourth highest goal kicker ointhe Association with 16 goal kicks to his name. Previously won the 2013 & 2016 Grand Finals with he disabled South Sydney Team, loves to run the ball to show his skills.

George Tonna-Red Shorts, Adult- Captain

A veteran of over 50 games for the Association who has amassed over 200 points, George is looking forward to Captaining and playing for Wests Tigers as he lives in the local area of Ingleburn, Is honored to be playing for such a great family and community club, and previously Captained the disabled South Sydney team to the 2013 and 2016 Grand Final wins.

Geoff Clarke-Black Shorts- Vice Captain

A tough, rugged, forward who always gives it 110% on the footy field, another veteran of 50 Association games, Geoff will bring great experience and toughness to the team, Geoff is the current captain of the NSWPDRLA All-Star Team and won the 2015 Grand Final with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. 

Andy Mycock-Abled Body Player-Black Shorts

Andy is our first international Able-Bodied Rugby League player. Coming from Stockport in the United Kingdom, Andy has come to Australia to provide support and assistance to the Association. He is looking forward to the upcoming season and running around with the boys on the footy field.  

Gary Kingi-Black Shorts- Adult 

A big and powerful forward, Gary is the second highest goal kicker with 16 goals, he has also played 35 games for the Association. Gary gets his chance to represent his Country of Origin New Zealand in next year’s 2018 Physical Disabled World Cup. Gary also won a Premiership with South Sydney in 2013.  

Jonathan Day-Black Shorts-Adult

Jonathan is from the great town of Mudgee and has represented the NSWPDRLA County Team for the last three years. He has also represented the NSWPDRLA All-Stars, has played over 10 games for the Association, loves to run the ball up to make meters for his team. Has come across from South Sydney with George Tonna after winning last year’s Grand Final.
